L'Shalom from Beth Emek Communications, where our crack(pot) reporters have uncovered the scoop of the year. Maybe it's the scoop of the century.
Adam Lambert is Jewish.
This year's favorite to become the next American Idol has not actually been spotted wearing tallit, nor has it yet been confirmed that he became bar mitzvah. But reports have it that one of his parents was raised Jewish and we have digital evidence that his pipes can blow equally well in Hebrew:

Hmm, we wonder what Simon Cowell would say about his song choice if he chose Oseh Shalom next week...

Mitzvah Alert!
Toiletries Collection For Tri-Valley Haven
For 30 years, the Tri-Valley Haven has provided shelter for survivors of sexual assault, battered women and their children. They provide a food pantry for
those in need as well. Emily Christensen will be collecting toiletries of any kind during the month of May to be given to the Tri-Valley Haven for her Bat Mitzvah
project. Emily is very moved in recognizing that what may be a simple life's luxury to some is a great need to others. Please help Emily in supporting the Tri-Valley Haven by picking up some shampoo, bath gel, Q-tips or any other bathroom products next time you are at the store. There will be a box labeled Tri-Valley Haven
Collection in front of the office at Congregation Beth Emek for your donations.
